Building upon the success of the original RR10 Bomber, Axial have announce the upcoming release of the RR10 Bomber (colloquially known as the 2.0). The new Bomber features updated electronics from Spektrum and Dynamite as well as new wheels, tires, and liveries.
Depending on the model you choose also dictates some of the options the RR10 comes with. Beginning with the liveries Axial is offering the truck in two flavors: a Randy Slawson Bomber updated livery as well as a second option of the Savvy Offroad Bomber scheme.
Choosing the Slawson variant will get you a quintet of BFGoodrich Baja T/A KR3 tires with officially licensed Trail Ready beadlocks taking up residence between their beads. Matching the blue found in the livery are the preload adjusters and top caps of the aluminum King shocks that feature machined pistons and threaded bodies.
Unpacking the Savvy Offroad version you will be greeted with a full set of Raceline beadlock wheels wrapped in Falken Wildpeak M/T rubber. To dampen trail obstacles, the Savvy truck includes Fox Racing shocks, also with machined pistons and threaded bodies.
Moving away from the differences in the kits end users will find new upgraded front C-Hubs (AX31354), a metal 23t servo horn and 32 pitch gearing for the pinion and spur. Inside the Yeti-style transmission are all metal gears in a singe (high) speed configuration, although a two-speed option is available. Most of the RR10’s signature features are carried over into the new truck including its molded tube chassis, AR60 OCP axles, WB8 driveshafts, LED lighting, easy-access forward mounted battery tray, trailing arm rear suspension, and its numerous scale details.
What is new to the party for the Bomber is its compliment of electronics. Axial now includes a Spektrum DX3 transmitter with thumb steer capability bound to a 3-channel SR315 receiver that takes up residence inside a waterproof receiver box, a 15 kg-cm Spektrum S614 metal-gear waterproof servo, a new Dynamite AE5L 3s capable speed control with integrated LED light controller and finally a 35t brushed sealed can motor.
