Traxxas is making a sizeable step forward in performance for their base model 4wd vehicles with the introduction of the new BL-2s brushless system; a replacement for the XL-5 and Titan 12t brushed combo of old.
This system is rated for 2s only, a level of power perfect for newer drivers, and is packed with the same features drivers have come to expect from Traxxas such as selectable drive profiles, training mode, a waterproof case, one-touch EZ Set programming and a low voltage cutoff. The motor is a 3300kV unit with an integrated cooling fan for lower operating temperatures and a longer lifespan. The 3.175mm motor shaft is supported by ball bearings while Traxxas’ Quick Connect motor plugs make for hassle free installation and removal.
Vehicles receiving the new power system include the Slash 4×4, Rustler 4×4 and Stampede 4×4; each of which are also upgraded with 32p gearing, Extreme heavy duty shock towers, suspension arms, hub carriers with oversized bearings, MAXX 6mm axles, cast metal wheel hexes, clipless body systems as well as new grey wheels that set these vehicles apart visually. This is the first Slash model to include a clipless body, a feature that owners have asked for since the release of the first clipless system from Traxxas. The all new Stampede 4×4 also receives a new longer chassis for added stability in addition to its new clipless body shell.
