I have a stash of bodies in my shop (and were this not an RC forum that
would sound like a confession…) and one of my favorites is my Carl
Renezeder Lucas Oil RTR body. I know it is nothing special but it was
the shell that came with my first SC, an original SC10, back in 2009 and
seeing it takes me back to when I was new to SC. I bet I have a full GB
of photos of that body in various locations from the first year that I
had the truck. Fast forward to now and I have a Senton 4×4 MEGA sitting
on my bench and I can’t help but think of how many people are going to
have those same experiences with this truck. The excitement of opening
the box for the first time, the smell that comes from breaking the seeal
on the outside, the nervousness before their first run, its a really
immersive experience that I still feel every time I open a new kit.
After running the truck in its stock form for more than 40 packs, I
decided to see what bodies would fit to change up the look a little.
The SC10 shell fits the Senton nearly perfectly:
The only “modification” needed to make the shell fit was to flip the
rear body post around 180 degrees. The body post holes are tight but
they do line up and fit.
