Arrma has announced the release of their new 1/5 Outcast, this time given the EXB (EXtreme Bash) treatment and arriving as a rolling chassis, leaving the electronics choices to the builder. Upgrades include a 5mm thick 7075 T6 aluminum chassis plate, EXB Red-anodized CNC aluminum front brace mount, EXB gloss and matte finish body, Red-anodized aluminum 49 and 56 series motor plates, heavy duty 8mm steel rear turnbuckles and 7mm steel steering links, servo mounts for 1/5 and 1/6 servos and a black anodized aluminum rear lower chassis brace. Rolling stock consists of dBoots Back Flip tires mounted to stylish black multi-spoke wheels, while red anodized wheel nuts add a touch of flair to an otherwise monochromatic wheel and tire combo. Arrma chose to retain composite shock towers on the big basher, favoring flex and durability over outright stiffness that would transfer force into the bulkheads. Thick center chassis braces reduce fore/aft flex and are anodized the same vibrant red as the other accents used in the truck. Finally, heavy-duty steel drivetrain components transfer power to all four wheels through oil filled differentials for improved traction and handling ability.
