Arrma is taking their ad slogan “All Road Basher” quite literally with the new 1/8 INFRACTION MEGA brushed RTR. Based on the previously released MEGA platform the INFRACTION mixes on-road looks with off-road capability. Extended height dirt defenders keep dust and debris out of the chassis while rubber sealed bearing keep the drivetrain running smoothly, even in the grittiest conditions. The chassis’ modular design makes maintenance a breeze although with the 4s capable diffs and Mod1.35 geared transmission not much maintenance is required. Spinning that metal gear transmission is a 9t 570 brushed motor that is fed amps by a Arrma MEGA brushed ESC powered by an included 7cell 3300mAh NiMH battery. Spektrum’s SLT3 2.4gHz transmitter sends signals to a SLR300 receiver, giving orders to the S650 metal gear servo with its 84oz-in of torque. Unlike the INFRACTION 6s with its Hoons tires that are geared toward high-speed on-road use the INFRACTION MEGA is fitted with dBoots Katar all-road tires with a more aggressive tread pattern for added off-pavement traction. The Resto-mod pickup body is available in two paint schemes, a red/blue and teal/bronze, and features molded roof skid plates as well as a roll bar in the bed plus the ultra-convenient body clip tethers that attach to the shell for never-lose-another-body clip peace of mind.
