New Product Release: Arrma Fury 223S BLX 1/10 Brushless Short Course Truck

Arrma’s latest 223S releases are here and they are big! Beginning with the Fury 223S BLX, the latest 1/10 2wd short course from the double R brand, drivers will find a truck ready to bash on either 2s or 3s power with a full size 3650 brushless motor.

Those familiar with the older Voltage line of vehicles will recognize this chassis layout. The monocoque style chassis wraps around the steering system, incorporating both front and rear shock towers, while also housing a mid-mounted motor and transmission. A convenient side loading battery door is incorporated into the driver’s side of the chassis for simple pack changes without the need to remove body pins or fuss with hook-and-loop straps. Arrma’s unique chassis layout is surprisingly simple to work on and structurally sound for such a lightweight chassis arrangement. Inside the transmission are metal transmission gears for added durability unlike the original Voltage’s plastic gears. A 40mm fan is included to keep things cool during even the most demanding conditions. Oil-filled dampers keep things under control at all four corners while solid camber and toe links keep things simple and tough. Impact absorbing nerf bars and bumpers keep the chassis safe while an integrated wheelie bar keeps things under control for even the most ham-fisted drivers.

Putting power to the ground are some of the best RTR SC tires on the market, the dBoots Fortress SC’s, pre-glued to attractive black scale wheels. The Fury’s body arrives pre-finished in the driver’s choice of blue, green or purple primary colors, mixed alternative color roofs and graphics.

The star of the show with the 223S BLX are the motor and 2-in-1 ESC/RX from Spektrum. The 4000kv 3650 motor provides the scoot on either 2s or 3s power and utilizes 4mm bullet connectors to receive power from the ESC. Speaking of the ESC, it is a 45a sensorless unit combined with an SLT protocol 2.4gHz receiver for a space efficient, simple package. Being 2wd and over-powered Arrma deemed it a good idea to include DSC (dynamic stability control) in the receiver to help keep the truck pointed in the right direction. A SMART IC5 connector transfers voltage from the battery and allows charging without the need for an extra balance connector (battery not included).
