For enthusiasts looking to pick up a 10iii but aren’t fans of the 7-slot grille, Axial now offers the chassis with an open top early Bronco body to satiate the blue oval fans. Underpinned by the feature packed SCX10iii chassis the classic Bronco is packed with detail to set you apart on the trail.
Scale details abound, including the molded tube roll cage, functional tube doors, scale 5.0L engine with transmission housing and transfer case detail, scale bolt-on fender flares, fender liners to hide chassis components along with multiple bolt-on exterior bits such as the windshield wipers, hood scoop, headlights and taillights and license plates. The highly detailed interior features molded seats, a steering wheel, column shifter, dashboard and two-pedal pedalbox assembly.
For the chassis there are a fair amount of familiar pieces along with the addition of some new options that set the EB apart from the rest of the SCX10iii family. The standout feature for this release is the omission of the portals and in their stead are offset front pumpkin straight axles. A triangulated 4-link rear/3-link with panhard front suspension setup keeps the chassis under control on the rocks and is damped by threaded body aluminum oil-filled dampers. Classic style 3-piece beadlocks securely hold the 1.9″ Falken Wildpeak tires of which there are 5 included in the package. A host of Spektrum electronics bring the truck to life including the FIRMA SMART 40a ESC/RX combo, the 15kg/cm S614 metal gear servo, a micro dig servo and a DX3 DSMR 3-channel transmitter. Optional 2-speed capability is built in, just add a separate servo and a new 4-channel radio system to take advantage of both features.
