JConcepts is bringing their 1/10 Monster Truck expertise to the 1/24 market with their new Golden Years and Renegade tires as well as their Tribute mini monster truck wheels.
The Golden Years tread pattern is designed to mimic the oversized rounded tires used in the early days of monster trucking. These are a less aggressive tire than the Renegade and are designed to work on surfaces ranging from astroturf to carpet and even dirt. Molded in the soft “blue” compound and supported by React open cell foam inserts these tires perform as good as they look.
Patterned after the hand-cut tires of the Renegade Series era of 1:1 monster truck racing the Renegade tires from JConcepts have sharper, more aggressive tread profile than a typical chevron tire and can bite harder into the surface. This tire has a lower overall profile for a more aggressive stance and less rotating mass while still maintaining a period-correct monster truck look. Like the Golden Years, the Renegades are molded in the soft “Blue” compound and are supported by React open cell foam inserts.
Rounding out the trio of new monster truck treats are the 1/24 Tribute multi-piece wheels that include two styles of planetary caps, optional slide-in beadlock rings, hardware and a color matched wheel nut wrench for those hard-to-reach mini-sized wheel fasteners. Each wheel features an industry standard 7mm wheel hex and is designed to work with JConcepts mini monster truck tires. Open-and-closed planetary cover options are included depending on the look and functionality the driver wishes to have and each cover is held on with micro sized hardware for an added scale touch. Color options include while, grey and black and the included wheel wrench is color matched to the wheel as well.
