The CNC machines at JConcepts have been busy as of late making a plethora of new tools for the RC racer. From turnbuckle wrenches to glow plug drivers JConcepts has a tool to to suit most every need.
First up is this seven piece set of open end wrenches, ranging in size from 3.0mm to 7.0mm and each wrench is color-coded for easy identification. As with the rest of JConcepts the beauty is in the details and with their chamfered edges and laser-etched size markings these wrenches are as handsome as they are functional.

Next are a handy set of double-ended wrenches; useful for adjusting turnbuckles and for getting into odd, hard-to-reach spaces. Each wrench has two different sizes and each set include a 3.0/4.0mm, a 4.0/7.0mm and a 3.63/5.0mm wrench. Like the previous wrench set these wrenches are color coded for easy identification and are clearly marked for size as well as with the JC logo. The flat center design makes the wrench easy to grip while using the tool and the chamfered edges not only improve the appearance but also add a touch of comfort to the otherwise sharp edges.

For teh nitro racers out there JConcepts is now offering an 8mm multi-wrench for glow plugs and other adjustments found on 1/8 vehicles. The 8mm head is a long, allowing the handle to be further away from the hot heatsink head. At 90 degrees to the main shaft of the tool are two hex tools; the 3mm and 5mm hexes are especially useful on pivot balls and other larger fasteners found on the big nitro burners. Each tool is constructed of high grade steel and finished in a durable black coating. These tools are a ground-up design unique to JConcepts and not just a rebrand of someone else’s work.

Up next is a tool that I fell should be in every RC’ers toolbox: shock shaft pliers. JConcepts is releasing a tool that not only aids in holding your shock shafts without scoring them (including 2.0, 3.0 and 4.0mm shafts) as well as holding 3 and 5mm bullet connectors for soldering. A built-in clamp securely hold 12mm and 17mm hexes and the tool can also be used to pop pivot balls into and out of place. Not bad for a tool that is often mistaken for something to crack open a lobster! These pliers are made of aluminum to prevent galling on steel (and coated) shock shafts and are finished in an attractive black with JConcepts logos.

Finally the fast Floridians have released their new floating ride height/droop gauge and a simple droop block. The ride height/droop gauge is an essential tool for setting up any on-or-off road car and can be sued to set ride heights from 5mm to 45mm and can measure droop from -20mm to +9mm. Reversible plates allow the use of 30mm or 36mm droop blocks and the gauge can be configured as a floating or clinched setup tool. Bathed in an elegant black this handy tool is engraved for incremental marking as well as with the JConcepts logo.
To partner with the droop gauge JConcepts is offering a droop block machined from aluminum in a size compatible with 1/8 (using the 36mm side) and 1/10 vehicles (using the 30mm side). Each side is engraved for sizing and the blocks are available in a convenient 2-pack with one blue and one black block. Team driver Spencer Rivkin was instrumental in the development of this product and applied his knowledge gained from his mentor Brian Kinwald to make this tool as useful as possible. According to JConcepts “[Brian taught Spencer] that the method of adjusting droop as a measurement at the axle height relative to the bottom of the chassis.” This tool, especially when paired with the aforementioned ride height gauge, makes achieving the exact amount of droop a simple task every time.
