New from the fine Floridians at JConcepts are the 2.2″ Megalithic tires in a 5.25″ diameter size for 2.2″ competition use as well as for use on tube buggies like the Capra or an H10 Optic. These tires strike a balance between “comp-only” pins and “full-scale” lugged tires that provides the best of both worlds. Molded in JC’s sticky green compound and supported by firm, closed cell foam inserts these tires can handle heavier rigs as well as heavy handed drivers. Each bar of the tread represents either a bat, club or pyramid in shape giving the tire a very distinct appearance. The sidewall lugs are described as a “liquid rope” design but should offer traction in sidehill and cornering situations.
