Losi has announced their entry into the No Prep drag racing segment of the hobby with their new 22s based 1969 Camaro 1/10 RTR. Based on the rear motor 22s platform this new car is designed with one thing in mind: going fast in a straight line.

A 3mm aluminum chassis provides a solid foundation for the car and is tuned to provide maximum traction on many surfaces. Impact absorbing side guards protect the electronics while wire management guides keep the chassis neat and tidy. An elastomer battery strap keeps the pack secure while also allowing for battery position adjustment to tune the weight balance of the car.

Losi is bringing the heat with the electronics package! A Spektrum Smart 100a ESC with drag specific programming profiles sends the amps to a Spektrum 6500kv 4-pole sensorless motor. A Spektrum SLT3 3-channel transmitter sends signals to the dual protocol SLT3 receiver for strong signal quality and telemetry functions. LED lights are included for night time blasts down the street.

Providing the necessary traction for all of the horsepower are licensed Micky Thompson slicks in a big-n-little configuration. The M/T logo is proudly printed on the sidewall of the rears while the skinnies up front have no lettering.

Transferring all of the power to the tires is an all metal gear transmission with a sealed gear differential. Losi spec’d the diff with 500,000wt diff oil for near-spool-like performance. Universal driveshafts transfer power to the wheels while 48p gears send power from the motor into the transmission.

Narrower suspension arms provide the proper proportions for the chassis and are damped by adjustable plastic body shocks with bleeder caps. Adjustable linkages are found at all four corner for added adjustability. The unique front bumper not only serves to protect the chassis but also has provisions for weights to tune how the car transfers weight on hard launches. A long, 2-wheel wheelie bar aids in keeping the car under control when traction is up and the trigger is pulled a little to deeply.

The 22s 1969 Camaro is available in two color schemes: the Summit sponsored race theme as well as a blue street/strip motif. A massive cowl is molded into the hood while a large drag spoiler resides on the decklid. Adjustable body mounts are used to support the shell.
