Losi has announced the latest addition to their TEN line of vehicles with the new Lasernut U4 4wd brushless RTR. Building off of a stretched 3mm 6061 T6 aluminum chassis (for a total wheelbase of 14.75″) the Lasernut U4 is relatively large for a 1/10 vehicle. The truck is 13.25″ wide front and rear and utilizes tall officially licensed BFGoodrich KM3 tires mounted to 2.2″/3.0″ Raceline wheels, finished in copper. Underneath the lexan body and molded roll cage is a triple-diff drivetrain that is spun by a 1900kv Firma 4-pole brushless motor. Regulating the power to that motor is a Firma 130 amp SMART esc that can handle 3 or 4s lithium batteries. Sending the signals to the truck is a Spektrum DX3 transmitter paired to an AVC receiver. If using a Spektrum SMART LiPO battery voltage can be monitored from the transmitter via built in telemetry. Steering duties are handled by a Spektrum S615 servo with 201 oz-in of torque and a transit time of .20 sec/60 degrees. A 9-led light bar adorns the top of the windshield frame while dual 4-led light pods flank the opening from below. Numerous scale details can be found around the truck including a lexan interior pan with driver and passenger detail (including separate heads with fresh air systems attached to them), a scale winch up front, molded plastic vent detail in the lexan body panels, a radiator, exhaust, and a full size spare tire out back.
