Looking for something fun to race around the kitchen table during those long winter months? Losi may just have the answer to your snow day blues with the new 1/24 Micro-B 2wd RTR buggy, a serious contender that traces its design back to the 22 1/10 buggy for proven performance.
An aluminum chassis gives the Micro-B its sturdy backbone and, while miniscule, the chassis is surprisingly stiff. Contained within the chassis are a 2-in-1 ESC/RX unit from Spektrum as well as an AS-1 micro servo. Providing the “oomph” is a Losi 65T brushed motor while a Spektrum 7.4v 350mAh 30c 2s LiPO battery provides long run times while keeping the weight low. A USB-C charger is included in the package, as are the (4) AA batteries for the transmitter; nothing else is needed to get the Micro-B up and running. Transferring power from the motor to the wheels are a durable gear differential, simple dogbone drive shafts and steel stub shafts. Hexes drive the wheels for a secure, lightweight drive system.
A massive improvement in the suspension department comes in the form of oil dampers. These shocks are scaled down versions of TLR’s buttery smooth 1/10 units and go a long way toward making the Micro-B easier to drive, especially over bumpy terrain. Adjustable camber and toe links offer another degree of tuning capability. Upper shock mounting options appear to be available front and rear but lower positions do no appear to be molded into the arm (the photos are not clear on this and this article will be updated if/when new information becomes available). Mini pin rear tires and ribbed fronts provide the traction while a cab-forward body and clear wing give the Micro-B its handsome appearance.
