A casual stroll through the pits any time in the last 30 years would have yielded numerous sightings of the now famous MIP hex drivers and nut drivers, complete with their golden amber handles shining like wildflowers, brightening the otherwise bland pit spaces and showing other racers who was serious about working on their RC. MIP has now introduced their Gen 2 series of tools that feature a few upgrades to make the tools more durable and easier to use.
The biggest change to the tools is a switch from a shiny nickel plating to a tougher, more sinister black oxide finish that should stand up to years of use and abuse. For ease of use each tool features the size laser etched into the shank of the tool for simple identification as well as an ultra-premium appearance. The classic clear amber handle makes a return, retaining the unmistakable look of an MIP tool and immediately intimidating the competition.
