Pro-Line is taking 1/10 monster trucking to the next level of performance with the release of the new Badlands MX28 HP Belted tires. The Badlands MX28 has proven itself to be one of the most capable off-road tires available for 1/10 MT’s and with the advent of an inner herringbone belt, Pro-Line have solved the tire expansion issues that have plagued the soft M2 Badlands since their release. Running at high speeds with big-tire-bashers is becoming more common nowadays and the HP tires make this style of driving much easier and more consistent. The new tires measure 2.10″ wide and 5.02″ tall and are molded from the soft-yet-durable M2 compound.
The Badlands MX28 HP’s are mounted to Raid 6×30 removable hex wheels that make mounting to a variety of chassis a simple affair. The combination of big tires, big power and near-unstoppable traction can spell disaster for a wheel’s hex but no longer do users have to discard a wheel should this happen; simply remove the damaged hex and replace with a new piece, saving time and money. Included in the package are the two most common offsets for 12mm hexes (fitting the Stampede 2wd and 4×4) and optional hexes are available to fit 14mm, 17mm and 12mm Pro-Trac hexes (6354-00, not included).
A special note from the engineers at Pro-Line:
” Please note that the Badlands MX28 HP tires have a maximum speed rating that, if exceeded, could result in permanently damaging the internal belt. For the Badlands MX28 HP 2.8″ tires that is 75 mph or about 5,000 RPM. Over revving your Badlands MX28 HP tires could result in breaking the internal belt, which will NOT be covered under warranty. This can be caused by “diffing out” your tires or holding the throttle open while one, two or three of your tires are stopped, which substantially increases the RPM sent to the free-spinning tire or tires.”
