Pro-Line is proud to introduce their newest carpet racing tire, the Harpoon, to the racing community. The Harpoon is an evolutionary leap forward in carpet tire technology, combining a new pin shape with a directional pin layout to not only provide the highest level of traction possible but also allow that grip to remain throughout the long life of the tire. A narrow, lower-profile carcass allows for a slightly lower CG and therefore greater agility, meaning the Harpoon will provide an increase in corner speed both in high speed corners and left/right transitions. According to Pro-Line the Harpoon will even “reduce the need for for sidewall CA gluing.”
Inside the rear tires (that fit either 2wd or 4wd) as well as the 4wd front tires are Pro-Line’s updated version of an open cell foam insert that is slightly denser, has more rebound and is better contoured to the inside of the tire compared to previous generation foams. Each pair of tires are offered in either the CR3 (medium) or CR4 (soft) compounds, affording drivers an additional tuning option.
