Does your large scale MT get a bit squirrelly at high speeds when trying to reach the magical numbers printed on the box? Worry no more as Pro-Line has a performance solution that is also a big upgrade in aesthetics known as the Menace HP. This belted tire is sized to fit the Traxxas X-Maxx (with use of the included anodized aluminum washers) as well as the Kraton 8s and many other 1/5 and 1/6 MT’s. The tires are pre-glued to 24mm hex Raid wheels for ready-to-use-out-of-the-package convenience and no risk of gluing your hand to the workbench. The tread pattern is asymmetric with a straight cut tread throughout the center of the tire and diagonal tread blocks on the shoulders for added lateral grip. Pro-Line advertises these as being a soft compound and the tires are supported by open-cell foam inserts.

A special note from the engineers at Pro-Line:
“Please note that the Menace HP tires have a maximum speed rating that, if exceeded, could result in permanently damaging the internal belt. For the Menace HP tires that is 75 mph or about 3,200 RPM. Over revving your Menace HP tires could result in breaking the internal belt, which will NOT be covered under warranty. This can be caused by “diffing out” your tires or holding the throttle open while one, two, or three of your tires are stopped, which substantially increases the RPM sent to the free-spinning tire or tires.”
