In a departure from the slew of No-Prep SC based bodies that Pro-Line produces the newly released 1972 Ford Pinto is sized for 11.25″ wheelbase buggies such as the Traxxas Bandit, Team Associated SR10 and many others. The Pinto was Ford’s answer to the impending gas crunch of the mid 70’s but suffered from a notoriously flame-prone fuel tank location that made the car infamous instead of famous. Pro-Line’s 1:10 recreation is true to form with the slanted grille and single round headlights that give the car a stern look. Generous fenderwells afford room for the large slicks and skinnies that are ubiquitous in the world of RC drag racing. Finally the wide, flat greenhouse slopes into a short decklid that emphasizes the Pinto’s diminutive size.
