Pro-line have just announced a pair of drag themed bodies for the Slash 2wd (the Super J) and most SC chassis (the Octane).
The Super J is a pro-mod style body for use on the Slash 2wd, converting
it into a stunning straight line performer. The body is a one piece
casting, no assembly required, just paint and go unlike many of its
multi-piece shell competitors. The body is narrower than a traditional
SC shell for a more scale appearance, necessitating the use of Bandit
suspension components as well as the Bandit front axles (not included).
To complete the look, the body is designed to use 2.2″ buggy front
wheels and tires along with SC sized 2.2″/3.0″ rears. Due to the shape
of the body and its mounting location the Super J requires the use of
extended body mounts.
Following the Super J is the announcement of the Octane on-road body to
suit most SC chassis. This 1970’s muscle car inspired shell brings the
essence of full scale No-Prep drag racing to the SC chassis. The Octane
features a wider stance (no narrowing needed), a raised hood scoop and
separate rear spoiler. Like the Super J, the Octane is designed for use
with 2.2″ buggy front wheels and SC rears as well as extended body
mounts.
