New Product Release: Redcat Racing Kaiju 1/8 6s Monster Truck

Redcat Racing recently introduced their latest entry into the 1/8 monster truck market with the Kaiju, a 6s capable 4wd big-tire basher. The Kaiju builds off of a molded composite tub chassis that is home to a triple diff drivetrain. Transferring power from those diffs to the wheels are steel constant velocity axles and aluminum 17mm wheel hexes. Speaking of tires, the units found on the Kaiju feature widely spaced lugs to dig into the terrain while the sidewalls are kept low for high speed stability. Keeping all of that power and traction under control is an adjustable wheelie bar out back. The power that necessitates the wheelie bar comes from a Hobbywing 150a ESC and 4268 2100kv 4-pole motor. The speed control is capable of up to 6s power and the chassis can accept single or dual packs (in combinations adding up to 4-or-6s). Keeping things pointed in the right direction is a Hexfly 25kg/cm servo that takes its orders from a 2.4gHz radio system. Keeping things under control are large threaded body aluminum oil filled dampers, adjustable camber and steering links with captured rod ends as well as double-shear bellcranks and steering knuckles for added durability. The old-school styled body features body clip tethers for added convenience and also includes a realistic decal sheet for an extra touch of realism.
