In response to customer reports RPM has developed a heavy duty suspension arm for the V2 versions of Arrma’s Kraton and Outcast 4s models, greatly improving these trucks’ bashability. Alongside the front and rear suspension arms (each pair sold separately) are new rear mud guards that help to protect the rear driveline and suspension from roost and buildup thrown from the front tires. These mud guards are compatible with the stock Arrma arms as well as the RPM upgraded units featured below.
RPM’s heavy duty suspension arms are much more than just nylon copies of the stock parts. These arms are designed to eliminate slop by tightening tolerances at both hinge pins; improving steering feel and handling prowess while also reducing stress on the pins due to the added leverage of the arms’ kinetic energy during a crash (the extra movement of the arm adds stress to the already loose hinge pin bores, often causing cracks and breaks in this area). Further improving handling is a second shock mounting hole that is further out on the arms, reducing leverage for a stiffer ride and a lower ride height/COG. This applies to the front arms only; the rear arms receive their additional hole centered between the locations of the stock inner and out holes for a nice balance between those two extremes.
Like all RPM products these suspension arms and mud guards are made of a proprietary blend of engineering grade nylon and carry a limited lifetime warranty against breakage.
