Big tire fans now have another option when shopping for their next ride as Team Associated have announced their forthcoming 1/10 RIVAL MT10.
At the heart of the new RIVAL is the Reedy 3300kv 4-pole brushless motor that receives its power from a waterproof Reedy brushless speed control. The ESC and motor are rated for 2s or 3s use and the battery connects to the ESC via a T-plug connector. Steering duties are handled by a high-torque servo that attaches to the bellcrank with a spring-style servo saver. That steering power is then transferred to the hubs through heavy duty 4mm turnbuckles.
Slider style driveshafts handle the power delivery to the 12mm hex equipped Method inspired wheels and high traction MT tires. Threaded body dampers are found at all four corners and have their shafts and lower eyelets protected by shock shaft guards attached to the suspension arms. An adjustable wheelie bar featuring LED lights keeps things from getting too out of hand. The large front bumper not only looks the part but also features LED’s for an extra bit of scale realism.
