Team Associated’s latest 2wd racers, the RC10B7 and RC10B7D, have proven their design superiority at tracks around the country but that doesn’t mean there’s not room for improvement. TA’s in-house tuning brand Factory Team has released three new pieces that will allow drivers to further tune this chassis to their liking and shed a few grams in the process including a 3-pack of carbon fiber front bulkhead shims, a titanium top shaft screw and a pack of aluminum differential height eccentric cams.
Up first are the carbon fiber bulkhead shims for the front end that includes 0,5mm, 1mm and 2mm shims to fine tune the height of the front bulkhead in relation to the chassis while also being a more precise fit than the stock composite piece.
Up next is a titanium top shaft screw that replaces the stock black oxide piece, reducing rotating mass while also being significantly stronger. The stock slipper/top shaft spans from the passenger side of the transmission through the case and out the drivers side, meaning there’s a bit of mass to start and stop. Reducing this mass will make the car accelerate and brake with less effort, decreasing lap times while increasing run-times (at leas by a small percentage, Associated has not released the actual weight of the titanium screw at the time of publication).
Finally, Factory Team has added Aluminum Differential Height Adjusters to their lineup, making for a more solid, precise fit between the diff outputs and the diff case. These adjusters come in 0mm and 1mm/2mm varieties with a left and right of each in every package.
