Traxxas is adding to their line of TRX4m trucks with the addition of the new F150 Ranger XLT High Trail edition model. Like other high trail models this truck features bigger tires, a long-arm lift kit, extended wheelbase and an ultra-detailed clipless body shell.
Beginning with the chassis the High Trail makes use of longer steel chassis rails that stretch the wheelbase to 162mm; extending the chassis to this length maintains the scale appearance of the truck while also adding to the trucks climbing stability. The long-arm lift kit places those chassis rails higher in the air while also increasing performance thanks to their extended link length creating a smaller arc during the axle’s travel. This lift kit, combined with the larger 2.4″ tires, increase center ground clearance by 35%. Speaking of those tires, a set of Micky Thompson Baja Pro XS tires are mounted to retro mag-style chrome 1.0″ diameter, 7mm hex wheels. The tires measure a full 2.4″ tall; a .2″ (4.9mm) increase over other TRX4m models.
Keeping the scale looks intact are Traxxas’ Clipless body mounts; a system that holds the body securely in place while still allowing quick access to the chassis for maintenance and battery changes. The body is fitted with molded detail parts from front to rear including chrome bumpers, side mirrors, a roll bar in the bed, chrome grille and even taillight buckets that can house optional LED brake lights from the ProScale LED Kit (sold separately). Simple headlight LED’s included out of the box for extra detail and take full advantage of the chrome headlight buckets.
The TRX4m High Trail is ready to run out of the box with an included 2s LiPO battery with iD connector and 2a USB fast charger, Traxxas TQ radio system, ECM-2.5 ESC and a heavy-duty 2065T steering servo.
