Xtreme Racing have announced the release of their new carbon fiber battery tray insert for the Traxxas Slash 2wd and 4×4. The insert replaces the plastic strap that retains the battery and instead uses a more versatile hook and loop strap that prominently features Xtreme’s logo. The insert mounts inside the stock battery tray using new button head hardware that attaches from beneath the chassis for a streamlined, snag-free installation. For those who want to use larger packs in their Slash this kit allows the use of taller, multi-cell or high capacity packs with no other modifications necessary. Xtreme Racing notes that some modification may be required to fit this kit into the chassis.
