NEW PRODUCT RELEASES FROM PRO-LINE RACING
First up we have the mid-June releases from Pro-Line Racing that includes a new stadium truck body (that was releases right on the heels of a new TLR stadium truck, see below), new Mini-LMT Dreadnaught 1.25″/1.75″ tires, Arrma Granite GROM Menace 1.85″ mounted tires, a Sector body for the Arrma Fury (both clear and tough color), Electron 2.0T 2.2 tires and Velocity 2.2″ 12mm hex stadium truck wheels.
Pro-Line is bringing stadium truck racing back to life with the release of a few new products this month, the first of which is a new Sector ST body for the new TLR 22X-T and others; a body that brings all of the latest aerodynamic technology of the successful buggies and short course variants to stadium truck racing. The lower roof height and swept windshield combine to lower CG while also aiding in downforce by smoothing the path air travels over the back of the roof, across the flat rear “bed” section and into the spoiler. Pronounced pockets in the bed allow the body to sit extremely low over the rear tower, further reducing CG and drag, while extended rear wheel arches aid in side force and reduce the amount of dirty air that is caught behind the truck below the spoiler. Like all Pro-Line bodies the Sector ST includes window masks, Paint-Then-Peel overspray film and detail decals and is proudly manufactured in the USA, Link: https://www.prolineracing.com/product/1-10-sector-st-clear-body-tlr-22x-t-and-others/PRO366800.html

Sticking with the stadium truck theme Pro-Line has also released a new tire and wheel (sold separately); the Electron T 2.0 and the Velocity T 2.2″ 12mm hex, respectively. The Electron T 2.0 will be available in two compounds, S3 and MC, and caters to high-bite, blue groove race surfaces. This tire’s focus is on corner speed, offering balanced forward and side bite, making it a great choice for driver’s looking for more steering without sacrificing drive out of the corner. Each tire is supported by molded, closed-cell grey foam inserts and is proudly made in the USA. If your ST utilizes 12mm hexes at both ends, Pro-Line has you covered with new Velocity 2.2″ 12mm hex wheels, available in both white and fluorescent yellow. Each wheel features the flat face design that the Velocity line is known for, a recessed wheel nut well, strengthening ribs inside the wheel that do not interfere with the caster block and pre-drilled vent holes. Molded from nylon, these ultra-lightweight wheels are the perfect addition to the new TLR 22X-T or the Associated T6.4. Moving on to short course news, Pro-Line is now offering a version of the Sector race-style body for the Arrma Fury 2wd. This body reduces body roll thanks to its lower roof height and sloped windshield, while maintaining forward bite thanks to its long, sloped tail. Pro-Line touts this body’s prowess at generating side bite and with its large, flat sides it is easy to see how this is possible. Each body is available in clear or the Tough Color Stone Gray color and arrives with detail decals, Paint-Then-Peel overspray film, window masks and like all Pro-Line bodies these are proudly made in the USA. Mini-monster owners hit the jackpot this month with a duo of new tires that includes the Dreadnaught chevron tire for the Losi Mini LMT and the Menace, meant for the Arrma Granite GROM. Up first is the Dreadnaught, a modified chevron-style tire that is modeled after custom-cut full scale monster truck racing tires and provides the ultimate in wheelie popping forward traction. Each tire is molded in Pro-Line’s Medium M2 compound and is supported by firm gray open cell foam inserts. Sized specifically for the Mini LMT these tires measure 3.25″ tall and 2,12″ wide and fit the stock 1.25″/1.75″ wheels. For street bashing and speed running duty the Menace has proven to be a top-tier choice. While not belted like it’s larger siblings this mini-monster tire looks like an aggressive steamroller coming at you with its wide footprint and race-inspired tread. Conveniently mounted on Raid removable hex 12mm wheels and sold in a 4-pack, these tires are a great way to get your truck ready to tackle the tarmac, no gluing required. Moving on to the news out of Texas, Traxxas has released an RTR version of the Late Model dirt oval car. No longer a body set for the Modified (or Mudboss, if you’re like us and got an early one) this car arrives with the specific clipless body mounts, inner cage, interior and bumpers to suit the new Late Model body. Available in six different colors (if we get one it’ll be pink!) and fitted with gray “steelie” wheels, this car is representative of what would have been raced at a local dirt track roughly 15-20 years ago, notably missing the sharp, angular, exaggerated aero bits of today’s dirt Late Models. New angle block branded Hoosier dirt oval tires are supported by Traxxas’ first dual stage foam insert; giving this car better forward bite as well as more predictable steering. Traxxas’ standard electronics package is included with the new Late Model and features the 2075 steering servo, TQ 2.4gHz radio system, BL-2 brushless speed control and a 3500kV brushless motor. For stadium racers Team Losi Racing (TLR) has introduced the new 22X-T mid-motor race truck. This truck takes the lessons learned from the 22X and applied it to the size and specifications of a stadium truck including new front and rear arms, wide kingpin spindles for reduced scrub radius, buggy length shocks and towers for lower CG, new ball studs and rod ends with 5.8mm balls, 4mm woven carbon fiber shock towers, 2mm hard anodized chassis, adjustable kickup for the front end, adjustable rear pivot blocks and a plethora of aluminum pieces that give the truck a very premium look and feel. Surprisingly a body is not included in the kit, nor are wheels, but on a brighter note the kit does use industry standard hex wheels. Link: Reviews

JConcepts has released a quartet of new bodies for the Losi Mini LMT for fans of Chevy Pickups from OBS to Cateye to the K2XX. Two front end style of the 1988 Chevrolet OBS (GMT400) are available; a Snoop Nose and a Standup Nose, while the Cateye and K2XX each get one body style each. Included in each package are the required JConcepts body mounts, scale decal sheet for each year, window masks and overspray film; the OBS bodies also include a separate fastback piece.
