Spring has finally shown itself here in the Mountain State and the mercury is rising back into habitable territory; we all know what that means… RC is moving back outdoors!I’ve been working on some trail truck and crawler projects over the winter and am excited to share them with you all now that the snow is melting and the trails are becoming passable once again. Those projects will be coming over the next few weeks so stay tuned. This week we have new releases from Traxxas, RPM and Losi that are sure to find themselves saved in our shopping carts soon. TRAXXAS
Traxxas hit us with a few new accessories this week, covering the Modified and Late Model dirt cars, as well as new Fox Orange or Black and King Blue shock caps for the GTR Dampers included in some kits.
First up are the new Hoosier Angle Block dirt oval tires for the Modified and Late Model cars. These tires are officially licensed by Hoosier and are molded in the same soft compound as the stock tires. For added performance and long-life these tires are filled with molded, closed-cell foam inserts that offer increased sidewall support and are waterproof to boot. Each pair are available either unmounted or mounted to the correct offset wheel to match the stock wheel track.

For those who enjoy the small details of RC Traxxas has new officially licensed color ways for the GTR shock caps to match either Fox Shox or King shocks’ iconic colors. The Fox replicas are available in either orange or black while the King versions are the famous light blue. Each set includes four caps and feature pressed in hollow balls that float inside a bronze bushing which allows the shock to rotate during its stroke, reducing stress on the cap and shock tower while also reducing binding on the shock itself.

RPM R/C PRODUCTS
The team at RPM are the best in the industry when it comes to identifying problems and solving them permanently with parts that last a lifetime and their new Traxxas 4×4 BL-2S camber links are a great example of this. Not only are these links stronger than the stock pieces they replace but they also offer a tangible performance increase at the same time. These links reduce the static camber both front and rear, increasing forward traction and tire life, by keeping the tire more square to the ground on acceleration. Stylistically these links match front and rear, something that the stock pieces do no do, and are available in black, red, blue or green to match most any paint scheme. Like all RPM products these camber links were designed and manufactured in the USA from a proprietary blend of engineering-grade nylons and offer a limited lifetime warranty. These links fit the BL2S versions of the Slash 4×4, Rustler 4×4, Stampede 4×4 and Bigfoot 4×4, replacing Traxxas part number TRA6748.

LOSI
Losi is expanding its line of stock cars from just the NASCAR Cup Series to now include an asphalt late model stock car, modeled after Dale Earnhardt Jr’s own Sun Drop Chevrolet Camaro (and also a fantasy model of the #8 DEI Budweiser car, if the lime green isn’t your thing). The body is a new mold and is low and wide to replicate the 1:1 car while the underlying chassis is the same 1/12 4wd platform seen underpinning the Cup cars released prior. This chassis is based on the Arrma GROM platform and features four wheel independent suspension. oil-filled coil over shocks at all four corners, gear differentials front and rear and a host of included Spektrum electronics to get you going straight out of the box.
