Reedy now offers their SC500X brushed electronics speed control separately as well as their 550 15t 3-slot brushed motor. This pairing is the same as what is included with Team Associated’s Apex2 Hoonitruck RTR but is also suitable for a wide range of 1:10 models as an inexpensive upgrade from stock or even as a spec combo for cost-controlled racing. The speed control has several adjustable parameters that can be changed using the optional programming box (#27034, sold separately), is water resistant, includes bullet connectors and a T-plug battery connector for simple installation, and is capable of running 2s or 3s power. For scale crawler use or any application that requires auxiliary power the 500X includes 2 aux power ports for easy hook-up. The 550 size motor is a 3-slot design and has fixed zero-degree timing and long-wearing brushes for long-lasting, consistent power. Bushings support the armature at each end; while not the most efficient should be durable and last the life of the motor.
