RPM have just announced the release of their new lower suspension arms
for the Traxxas Unlimited Desert Racer. Designed to be light yet
extremely durable the A-arms are a great addition to the front of any
UDR. The completely redesigned one piece arms are not only made of RPM’s
famously tough blend of nylons but also solve some issues that the UDR
has out of the box. At full compression while turning the front arm can
come in contact with the steering bellcrank. The RPM arms have been
clearanced in this area to alleviate this issue. The angle of the A-arm
has been changed at the pivot ball to provide extra clearance at the
axle carrier as well. Add in other improvements such as the beefed up
support arms in the direction of suspension travel, tighter tolerances
for less slop and RPM’s famous limited lifetime warranty and its easy to
see how much of an improvement the new arms can make.
