New Product Release: Losi 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle 2wd Mini No Prep Car

Honey, I shrunk the No Prep car! Losi has announced the release of their new 1/16 22 based 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle r/c drag car. Born from the race-proven DNA of the 1/10 22, this chassis is packed with performance features and topped with a stunning recreation of the 1970’s most iconic muscle car.

Underneath the gorgeous bodywork is the proven 22 mini platform, this time in its 239mm configuration, although it can be shortened by 14mm to 225mm to suit other on-road mini bodies. The motor is placed midship, a design that has proven itself in the Mini-T 2.0 and Mini-B. Spinning the metal geared 3-gear transmission is a Spektrum Firma 6000kv brushless motor with integrated ESC, a first in an RTR from Losi, of which is tunable via an accessory programming card. An 800mAh is included and gets its charge from a USB charger for convenient on-the-go charging capability. A Spektrum SLT2 2-channel 2.4gHz transmitter sends signals to a SLR300 receiver that is mounted at the front of the chassis. Spektrum’s SX107 steering servo keeps things pointed in the right direction.

Like any good No Prep car the 1/16 Chevelle has a fully adjustable suspension at both ends, including tuning options for camber, toe, ride height and wheelie bar angle. The wheelie bar appears longer than it is thanks to the car’s mid-motor design but its two wheels sit perfectly behind the bumper for a scale look without sacrificing performance. Three optional toe blocks are included in the package to help tune the suspension without the need to purchase anything extra. Officially licensed Mickey Thompson drag tires are found front and rear and are wrapped around chrome 5-spoke wheels that contrast nicely with the blue or black bodywork.
