Pro-Line have introduced a duo of new body options for the Axial SCX6 plus a new set of extended body mounts that will allow numerous new bodies to be fitted to the gargantuan trail truck with ease. The all-new 1985 Toyota SR5 pickup and 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty bodies are direct fit and re-use the stock bed cage for a simple, bolt-on-and-go affair.
Beginning with the 3/4 ton Ford Pro-Line has eschewed the all-aluminum construction of the 1:1 in favor of thick .060 polycarbonate for a tough yet lightweight scale representation of the Alumiduty. This body is slightly pinched for added tire clearance and utilizes the stock Trail Honcho bed cage for a clean, trail ready appearance. Due to the windshield location of this body Pro-Line’s body mount kit (PRO640300 sold separately is required. Like all Pro-Line bodies the big Ford includes window masks, a detailed decal sheet, paint-then-peel overspray film and is proudly made in the USA.
If bro-dozing diesels aren’t your bag Pro-Line is also offering a 1985 Toyota SR5 cab for Marty McFly aficionado’s and those looking to live out their own “to kill a Hilux” dreams. Like the F250 this 1985 mini truck features a slightly pinched front end for additional tire clearance without sacrificing scale accuracy. Being a 1985 this body is accurate on the solid axle SCX6 as independent front suspension didn’t show up on the Yota’s until 1986; boom, scale points! Direct fit is the name of the game when it comes to the Trail Honcho’s cage (sold separately) and the body includes window masks, paint-then-peel overspray film and a detailed decal sheet.
Finally, Pro-Line is introducing a set of body mounts for the SCX6 that allows the use of various styles of bodies, including SUV’s thanks to the included tall rear body mounts, while also minimizing interference with the windshield or cowl area thanks to the two included front post options. Two straight front body posts, two L-shaped front body posts, one extended rear body post plus the necessary mounting hardware are included in the package.
