Reedy is hitting the rocks with the new 480X speed control, a unit designed with power and reliability in mind at an affordable price. Go-slow enthusiasts will be happy to find a 7.4v/5a BEC and two auxiliary power leads on board for reliable power to the servo as well as other power-hungry accessories. The controller is capable of 80 amps of continuous current and up to 320 amps of burst current at 2-or-3 cell LiPO power (5-9 cell NiMH). The 480X is capable of powering motors greater than 12t (3-slot) or 8t (5-slot) on 2s and 15t (3-slot) or 10t (5-slot) on 3s. Adjusting additional parameters within the ESC is simple using an optional programming box (#27034). The speed control is water resistant for use in less than favorable conditions and utilizes a t-plug for simple battery connections.
