The glory days of 2wd buggy racing are back in a shrunken size with the release of Losi’s 1/16 JRX-2 2wd retro buggy. Although the same size as a Mini B this buggy is a scaled down replica of the original JRX-2 racing buggy and features a fiberglass chassis, 5-link rear suspension, rear mounted transmission with aluminum motor plate, steel outdrives and stub axles, bearings, a vintage body in one of three flavors (JRX-2 Red, JRX-2 Pro Black and Junior 2 Blue styles), retro orange wheels, rib front/pin spike rear tires as well as upgraded electronics compared to other Losi 1/16 models. A 650mAh lithium battery is included and is charged by an also-included USB .5a balance charger. An upgraded 25a ESC/RX combo provides the amps to a slightly hotter than the Mini-B 42t 280 brushed motor that is emblazoned with a retro-style Junior’s Choice label for extra nostalgia points.
