JConcepts have announced the release of their new Fling Kings Jr. and Renegades Jr. 2.2″ tires, designed specifically for their 2.2″ Midwest wheels (part#3380, sold separately).
Just like the original Fling Kings, the Jr. versions scream Mega Truck with their deep tractor treads and tall yet narrow profile. Measuring in at 5.50″ tall and 2.50″ wide, the tires are sized for the slightly smaller 2.2 class vehicles that would look out of proportion with the larger OG Fling Kings. Available in two compounds, a soft “blue” compound for dirt, grass and asphalt and a medium “gold” compound that excels on hard or polished surfaces. JConcepts notes that the blue compound “has expanding characteristics and tend to ‘pizza cutter’ during flat out high-speed runs.” The tires are sold in pairs and include open-cell “React” foam inserts.

Designed for vehicles such as the Traxxas Stampede and Rustler, the Axial SMT10 and other 2.2 class monster trucks, the Renegades Jr. tires offer increased forward traction as well as lateral grip while the carcass design aids in stability. The tall lugs have a hand-cut appearance that not only looks very true to scale, hearkening back to the glory days of full-scale monster truck racing, but also increases performance by shedding weight and tailoring the tread’s level of grip to maximize traction without sacrificing tread block stability. The Renegades Jr’s are available in both blue (soft) and gold (medium) compounds and include React open cell foam inserts. Like the Fling Kings Jr’s the Renegades Jr’s are designed to work with JConcepts Midwest 2.2″ wheels (item# 3380, sold separately) and measure in at 5.5″ tall and 2.5″ wide.
